The afternoon was gray with heavy clouds, a

sprinkling of rain, and the temperature was lightly

warm with a kiss of humidity. Since the sun was
obscured by clouds it was comfortable to stroll the
grounds, including Mable Ringling’s Rose Garden.
I was surprised to learn C&W singer Reba McEntire
has a rose named after her. See for yourself.
When I saw this combination of words I thought of
the Neil Young song. Would a rose have been
named after that?
Whether here or at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens,
banyan trees are serenely majestic.
