Dear D7 Families,

For the next few weeks our class will be

studying Civil Rights Heroes that have made a
positive difference in our country! We will be
focusing on Frederick Douglass, Susan B.
Anthony, Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez, and
other amazing heroes.
In addition to this, your child will be writing an Informational
Report on a civil rights hero of their choice. We hope that this experience
will inspire your child to make a positive change in the world as well! Please
encourage discussions of civil rights heroes at home and read books about
them to make learning more meaningful.
