The KL International Earth Day Run 2016 will be held on Sunday, 24 April 2016 at Padang Merbok, Jalan Parlimen, Kuala Lumpur.
The Run shall be conducted under the rules of the Malaysian Athletics Federation (MAF) as well as a set of competition rules. The
Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these Rules and Regulations of the Event from time to time as they deem
fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret the rules. Any updates on the Rules
and Regulations of the Event will be notified on the official Events website, www.earthdaymalaysia.com. It is the responsibility of
Participant to keep abreast with any changes.
The Run is open for participation by Malaysian citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
Categories C and D are open to Malaysian students and foreign students enrolled in secondary schools in Malaysia. Entry forms of
foreign students must be stamped & signed by their respective school heads to confirm their student status. A copy of their passport,
visa or other valid travel documents must be attached with the entry forms.
Category G, Corporate /Team: Open to all staff or agents of private or public sector organizations. The number of runners in a team is
five (5). Foreign staff/ agents may run in their Companys / Organizations Team.
The age of participants shall be calculated as at 31 December 2016. Participants below 18 years of age require consent of parents/
guardians on the official entry forms.
Age Verification. All prize money and medal winners must produce their identity card / birth certificate/ passport or other documents
including details of Permanent Resident ( where applicable ) for their age verification to the presiding technical officials upon request.
There will be no refund of entry fees, if the event is cancelled for reasons of force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents beyond
the control of the organizers which renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the event.
There will be no refund for wrongful or multiple entries. Substitution or changing of categories is NOT allowed. Please ensure that you
select the right category you are eligible to participate in accordance with your age qualification.
If a participant who has registered chooses to withdraw for any reasons, his/ her entry fees will not be refunded.
Prizes in the form of cash money, medals and hampers will be presented depending on the categories. Please refer to the prize list
below.
Medals will be given to the first 100 winners of each category. Certificates of participation will be given to all those who complete the
run at the finish line.
All participants must wear the Run t-shirts provided by the Organizer during the Run as well as during the prize giving ceremony at
the podium. Prizes from the 1st to 5th placings will be presented at the podium.
The Run will start and end at Padang Merbok.
Only one piece of runner bib will be given to each participant, to be pinned on their chest.

Entry forms can be downloaded from: www.earthdaymalaysia.com ; www.hooha.asia or obtained from FTKLAAA.
On Line registration is not available under the student category. Registration under this category must be done via FTKLAAA.
The entry forms together with the correct entry fees must be submitted to FTKLAAA office or by online registration before the
closing date.
Registration will close on Saturday, 17th April 2016 or upon reaching 5000 entries, whichever comes first.
Incomplete or late entries will be rejected. Proof of postage is no proof of delivery.
Participants number tags and t-shirts will be distributed from 21st April 2016 to 23rd April 2016 at the Federal Territory
Amateur Athletics Association (FTKLAA) Office, 2nd Floor, Wisma OCM, Jalan Hang Jebat, 50150, Kuala Lumpur.
Time on 21st and 22nd April: 10.00 am to 5.00pm. On Saturday, 23rd April : 10.00am to 2.00pm.
Competitors numbers and t-shirts will not be distributed on the day of the run.
Race Kit delivery service is available to only those who register on line via www.hooha.asia. A charge of RM 11 is applicable and
the race kit will be delivered to your address. Registration for this service must be done before 8th April 2016.

While the organizers will undertake all safety precautionary measures for the safety of participants during the event, all participants
take part in this run at their own risk. The Organizer, Asia WE Sdn. Bhd (Asia World Events) and FTKLAAA will not be in any way
responsible for any injuries, death or for any loss of their personal belongings during or after the Run.
Water stations will be available along the route.
Timing for this run will be done manually.
In case of emergencies, ambulances/ doctors/ first aid workers will on be standby for participants seeking first aid treatment.
All participants must report their attendance to the reporting officials by submitting the reporting cards. The reporting time will
be from 6.00 am. The reporting cards will also be used for balloting lucky draw winners during the prizes presentation.
A special area will be provided for baggage safe keeping. Please ensure that there are no cash or valuables are kept in your
luggage while it is in safe keeping. The Organizers will not be responsible for any missing items.
Lucky draws will be conducted throughout the morning after the race. Please keep your runner number tags to qualify for these
draws.
