COUNCILMEMBER CHRIS CATE HOSTS STATE OF THE DISTRICT ADDRESS


San Diego, CA Tonight, Monday, February 29th at 6:00pm, Councilmember Chris Cate, will be holding a
State of the District address at AleSmith Brewing Company to update residents of San Diegos Council
District 6 on accomplishments, current projects and goals for the coming year. #D6SOTD
This past year, we achieved a level of success I could have only imagined. District 6 is innovating and we
are accelerating. Ordinary is turning into extraordinary, and it's happening each and every day, states
Councilmember Chris Cate.
With more than 3,000 San Diego children in foster care, Councilmember Cates office is also partnering
with Sleep Train Foster Kids. State of the District attendees are being asked to bring new, unwrapped
pajamas to the event. The donated pajamas will be distributed to local foster care agencies.
Lastly, Councilmember Cate will also be recognizing District 6 residents, nonprofits and businesses who
have gone above and beyond to enhance the lives of fellow San Diegans including: Sophia Righthouse
(Youth of the Year), Stephen Groce (Community Leader of the Year), Adriana Enloe (Neighborhood
Champion of the Year), Vulcan Materials Company (Business of the Year) and Ronald McDonald House
Charities (Nonprofit of the Year).
