1. Define a bitmap image.
A display space and the color for each pixel or "bit" in the display
space. A Graphics Interchange Format and a JPEG are examples of
graphic image file types that contain bit maps.
2. What is the purpose of the live trace in adobe illustrator?
Live trace allows you to convert plain images into adjustable vector
art.
3. Name 2 of the tracing options that are available for the live trace tool.
Name the purpose of each.
Make and make and expand Make just creates a vector image,
Make and Expand creates the image and expands it.
4. What is the purpose of the live paint tool in Adobe illustrator?
Converts the image into a non vectored painted image.
5. If the appearance palette is not visible, where do you locate it?
You may locate it within the control pallets on the top
6. How do you assign an object a transparent color?
Select said object and adjust the opacity slider in the control palette
7. How do you add pattern swatches to the swatches palette?
Any type of swatch can be saved by simply dragging and dropping
into the swatches palette.
8. What tool can you use to add texture to objects?
You can use different effects, like grain in order to create textures.
