English language is commonly perceived as a leading foreign language among most

countries all over the world and widely taught at all stages of the education system.
In Malaysia, the English language is one of the main subject taught in all
government schools from the primary level up to secondary level and has even
been introduced to the students as early as their pre-school years. Despite the early
exposure of the language, majority of the students completing their secondary
school still tend to have difficulties in improving their proficiency at the university
level.
As an experienced English teacher, teaching the language among the primary
students is a challenging task. Students are commonly intimidated learning this
foreign language as they find it difficult to grasp and not easily understood resulting
in the lack of proficiency in the language either through written or communication.
As the language is not a common medium used among the students in schools, they
tend to seek comfort in utilizing the language that is most common to them. Such
situation causes students having difficulties moving beyond the basics of the
language.
Teaching English language to a class of non-native English speaker requires
patience and creativity. . If I got this opportunity, I will fit in beautifully and be a
great help to the team.
