Ampicillin 250mg IVTT (ANST) every 6

hours

The treatment of patients with infections caused by streptpcoccus pneumoniae for Lower Respiratory T
Infection including Pneumonia.

Paracetamol 60mg IVTT every 4 hours PRN

for fever

IV Paracetamol is the drug of choice if fever is above 39.0 C because it is the only approved IV non op
analgesic that is indicated for the use in pediatric patients. It has a faster onset and results in more
predictable pharmaconkinetics than oral or rectal acetaminophen formulations.

Gentamycin 32mg every 12 hours IVTT

(ANST)

As initial therapy in suspected or confirmed gram-negative infections, and therapy may be instituted be
obtaining results of susceptibility testing.

Ranitidine 10mg every 8 hours IVTT

Ranitidine injection may be administered at doses that have been shown to be effective for acid
suppression in critically ill children.

Ceftriaxone 960mg IVTT every 24 hours
(ANST)

Ceftriaxone is indicated in the treatment of the certain infections either before the infecting organism
been identified or when known to be caused by bacteria of established sensitivity.

Tazocin 500mg every 8 hours IVTT (ANST)

Tazocin used in the management of neutropenic children with fever suspected to be due to a bacter
infection. Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial age

Propranolol 10mg/tab, 1/2 tab every 12

hours

Propranolol generally reduces the oxygen requirement of the heart at any given level of effort by block
the catecholamine-induced increases in the heart rate, systolic blood pressure, and the velocity and ex
of contraction

Meropenem 380mg IVTT every 8 hours

(ANST)

Meropenem is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a
carbapenem-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
