PIIC provides support for Instructional Coaching

An ongoing program of study on instructional coaching,


mentoring, and teacher professional development.
Resources for mentors and coaches (toolkits, guides,
and training curricula)
Specific training in the Penn Literacy Networks
evidenced-based strategies for developing reading,
writing, and comprehension skills across the
curriculum. (Math?)
Research and evaluation to analyze the effectiveness of
instructional coaching

PIIC Requirements
Attend 2 of the 3 Statewide PLOs
Attend monthly coaching meetings
Attend PLN every year (bring teachers)
