SCRIPT FOR THE SHORT FILM MAKING

Setting: Mambukal Mountain Resort, Murcia, Negros Occidental

Scene 1
Vanette: Finally! Were here! I just cant wait to take lots of selfies.
Esther: Lets go over there (referring to a perfect selfie spot).
Ms.Jamili: Class! Kindly form a line first before doing anything else. It is not the right time to
take pictures. You will be given a lot of time later for that. Get me?
Students: Yes miss.
*Students formed a straight line and followed their teacher as they went inside the mountain
resort.
Kathleen: You know what girls, I heard a lot of stories about this place!
Vanette: You mean, horror stories? Come on. I dont think it is the right time to talk about it,
Kath.
Esther: Absolutely! We came here to have fun and celebrate the time of our lives. Ghost hunting?
No thanks! Thats only for the pathetic psychic wannabe losers.
Kathleen: Please dont get me wrong girls! Im not referring to horror stories. What Im talking
here is about an enchantress who protects this so called magical mountain resort.
*Vanette and Esther looked at each other and laughed boisterously.
Vanette: What kind of joke was that? Its 2016 Kath and your jokes are still lame. Get a life!
Esther: Enchantress? Not funny. Dont mind her sis. Lets go!
*Esther grabbed Vanettes arms and tried to escape their assigned cottage but Ms. Jamili caught
them.
Ms. Jamili: The two of you! I didnt tell you to go yet Ms. Fuentes and Montes. The two of you
are being too excited. Just stay right here and wait for my instructions.
Vanette and Esther: Yes miss.

Scene 2:
Kathleen: My classmates are thinking that Im just making up some stories but my mother who
used to be a caretaker of this mountain told me that the existence of the enchantress is true.
*Enter Keito as a human being. Kathleen saw her and tried to approach her.
Kathleen: Hi miss. I know this is ridiculous but can I just ask you about something?
Keito: Oh sure. What is it about?
Kathleen: About the enchantress protecting this area. Is it just a myth or true? I told my
classmates about it earlier and they just laughed at me but my mother used to work here as a
caretaker and she said that its really true.
Keito: What is the name of your mother?
Kathleen: Lourdes Jamelo. Do you know her? Have you met even once? How long have you
been here? Are you also a caretaker?
*Keito looked at Kathleen and just smiled.
Esther: Kath! What are you doing there? Talking to yourself again? Its lunch time already! Get
up here. Ms. Jamili is waiting.
Kathleen: Of course not! Im not talking to myself, you see.. Im with
*Kathleen looked around but the mysterious woman suddenly disappeared.

Scene 3:
*The whole class were called by their teacher to warn about littering.
Ms. Jamili: Class, how many times do I have to tell you to stop littering? Isnt it that our last
topic in our environmental class is all about the effects of littering? Montes and Fuentes, the both
of you are not listening to the tour guide earlier and Ive been reminding you over and over again
to dispose your garbage in the trash can.
Esther and Vanette looked at each other and smirked.
Ms Jamili: I will give you an hour vacant to roam around and explore the beauty of nature but
the falls area is restricted. No one is allowed to go there. Do I make myself clear?
Esther, Vanette and Kathleen: Yes miss
*The students walked around but Esther and Vanette had their own plans.

Vanette: Miss Jamili is so annoying! That unmarried little woman is really getting on my nerves!
Ugh.
Esther: Exactly! Like come on, are we the only people here doing the littering thingy? Hell, she
mastered the art of over acting in a split second.
Kathleen: Girls, you dont see the point of our teacher. She just wants us to be nature friendly,
just like in her lectures about protecting our environment.
Vanette: Shut up Kath! We all know that you are this perfect student but stop acting as if youre
perfect and never done anything wrong. Can you just leave the two of us?! Youre acting like a
stray dog that keeps on following us!
Esther: Heard that? Back off freak! Leave us alone! Find your own friends and get a life!
Kathleen: Okay! If thats what you want then I will leave you both but remember not to go the
falls. The enchantress will be upset and besides, it is dangerous there. Thats all Im asking.
*Esther and Vanette looked at each other and smiled.
Esther: Thinking what Im thinking right now?
Vanette: Hell yeah. I got it sister!
*Esther and Vanette ran to the falls area
Kathleen: NOOOOOO!!

Scene 4: FALLS AREA

*Esther and Vanette play around in the water until Vanette pulls out packs of food as she smirks
at Esther. Esther grins upon seeing the food. Kathleen silently follows them to see if theyre
following the rules.
Esther: Oh good! PICNIC TIME!
Vanette: *opens some foods and rolls her eyes upon seeing Kathleen* Oh my God, you are here
again? To what? Lecture us on some good conduct blah blah?
Esther: *laughs and eats before throwing the pack on the waters* As if were going to listen.
Dont be such a prude Kathleen.
Kathleen: But guys, I already told you about what Miss Jamili said. She said no littering! Why
are you two so stubborn and hard headed!

Esther: Shut up! Miss Jamili already lectures us most of the time and we dont need you doing it
too! *stands up and playfully dangles a wrapper before letting it go in the waters* Besides, what
are you going to do Kathleen?
Vanette: *smirks* Yeah. As if youre going to call the teacher upon us. Can you even do that?
*laughs rudely*
Kathleen: But youre not only destroying the falls, what if youre also angering the enchantress
living here?! Didnt you know those entities may be real? They protect nature since time and
beyond!
Vanette: We dont believe in them! Its 2016 already Kath! Get over that enchantress and whatnot
talk!
Kathleen: You know what, Im done talking to you two. Its for your own good yet you continue
in disobeying everything. *starts to walk away*
Vanette: *snorts then laughs* Yeah right. *yells* Walk away, drama queen! Cant even continue
the conversation. Hahahaha!
Esther: *shakes her head then laughs* She just likes to appear all Miss Goody Two Shoes.
*continues eating and enjoys the falls with Vanette*
After a while, Keito appears as if she is a human being just passing by and she sees all the
scattered trash around the two girls. She walks closer to them.
Keito: Excuse me, but arent outsiders supposed to come close to the falls area? And littering
your trash is not allowed here, girls. I suggest you pick them up and go back to your group.
Esther: *rolls her eyes* Oh come on, another prude? Whats the point of having these scenery
and falls if we wont come close to it. And besides, look, the water is already taking the trash
along with them. How can we pick them up?
Vanette: *chuckles* Do you expect us to swim after them just to clean up? *laughs together with
Esther*
Keito: Well in the first place, you girls shouldnt even be here. Let alone eat and leave all your
trash around. Didnt your teacher tell you all about taking care of the environment? Without
nature--Esther: Here we go again. Weve heard that like, a thousand times already.
Vanette: Who are you anyway? And how dare you lecture us about that stuff? Were just here to
have fun and enjoy nature as you say. *carelessly throws banana peels on the waters*

Keito: *her calm demeanor slowly changes into a powerful transformation* Such rude children.
Your teacher already warned you, even your classmate already looked out for the both of you and
I tried my best not to let things come this far. But you leave me no choice. *her full
transformation ends and the girls are left dumbfounded*
Esther: *blinks repeatedly in fear* T-The enchantress??
Vanette: What K-Kathleen was saying it was real!
Keito: Yes! I am the enchantress of this falls. I am the guardian of these waters and a protector of
mother nature. Because of your rude behavior and immensely careless treatment of my
sanctuary, I will show you the wrath of nature, thus this punishment is only rightfully given to
the two of you!!
*Scenes of landslides around the falls are shown to the two while they are huddled together in
fear at the scenes unfolding around them, they both scream for help.*
MEANWHILE, Kathleen stops in the middle of walking and she sighs. She turns around and
starts walking back to the falls area.
Kathleen: Those two are so stubborn, but I dont want them to get in trouble too. I better try to
bring them back with me. *she pauses upon hearing screams and she hurries back to the falls
area*
Kathleen sees the two girls caught in the landslide and she looks at them in panic. She sees the
enchantress and looks at the scene in fear.
Vanette: Kathleen!!! Help us!!
Esther: The enchantress! S-She is real! She is punishing us for what we did!
Keito: And I must! For you are disrespecting my sanctuary, my home! Your friend warned you
but you didnt listen! And now you must suffer the consequences!
Esther: Were so sorry! We were so careless and never followed whats good! Kathleen! Please
help us! *she turns to the enchantress* Forgive us! This is too much!
Kathleen: *she speaks to the enchantress in a trembling voice* B-But, she is right. This is too
much. They already asked for forgiveness! Dont let this end in a tragic way!
Vanette: *already appears weak* I-If we could take it all back We would.. in a heartbeat!
*coughs*
Keito: The little things can lead to bigger and more destructive things. Sorry will not fix things.
Saying sorry? Its just a word. It doesnt mean anything!

Esther: W-We promise to never do it again! We will be more vigilant and protective of nature!
Vanette: We learned things the hard way.. Please give us another chance, enchantress. Another
chance to make things right.
Kathleen: Please enchantress! Let them go! *tries to reach out to her two friends as they appear
to be faint and weak.
*A blinding light flashes and Esther and Vanette can be seen lying on the ground. Their
classmates and teacher are surrounding them while they are being revived.
Kathleen: Come on guys! Wake up, wake up! *attempts CPR.
Esther is the first one to cough out water and a few moments later, Vanette is being given a glass
of water after being revived.
Vanette: W-What happened?
Esther: *sobs* I I thought that was the end of us *covers her face with her hands.
They both hugged each other as they looked at Kathleen, she smiles at them meaningfully and
looks into the corner of the falls area. The enchantress can be seen looking at them as the four
makes eye contact with each other. It is clear that the enchantress gave them a lesson they will
never forget and a chance to make things right again as she smiles before disappearing. The
group reunites with their classmates and teacher.
