Philosophy of Education

As a professional teacher I will strive to help and guide students develop

and grow in their identity, their knowledge and life skills. Through inspiring
and educating I believe I can augment the childs development towards
becoming a successful contributor in this world and be a confident secure
being.

Working alongside the New Zealand curriculum actively integrating

the values, principles and key competencies into planning and
teaching.
Facilitate students development and continuous assessing to
determine next learning goals.
Create a learning environment where students feel free to express
themselves and safe to stretch themselves in all areas of
development.
Children need encouragement and affirmation on their
development. I gladly accept the role of cheerleader, providing
genuine, necessary feedback and encouragement.
Providing inquiry based learning which gives students the
opportunity to exercise their responsibility to work independently.
Entrusting the students with this accountability will hope to
encourage students to be proactive in their work completion and
fully understand the learning involved.
Implementing differentiated learning to cater to all learning abilities
and styles. It also expands and widens the students skill set and
understanding, enhancing their strengths and developing areas of
weakness.
