Project Name: Beta Type Stirling Engine

For The Week of December 7-11, 2015

Achievements of the Week

The researchers are halfway on designing the vertical beta type stirling
engine. The researcher decided the engine shall be over-square engine thus
bore/stroke ratio is assumed 1.25. They also decided to use stainless steel
for piston and cylinder because of its self-lubricating aspects. The flywheel
shall be made out of cast iron to compensate with the momentum and
energy disadvantage of the engine.
