RE:
Stephanie Vue
Dear Admissions Officer,
Thank you for your time and for allowing me an opportunity to talk to you about Stephanie Vue.
Stephanie is serving as a Bachelors Level student intern at Lighthouse PATH and has been assigned to
work in the Transitional Housing Program. During her internship, Stephanie is responsible for
providing emotional support and encouragement on a regular basis to residents and their children. In
addition, Ebony must conduct one-on-one and group sessions with mothers whom she has been
assigned and assist them with not only creating strength-based action plans, but also help them to
identify barriers and possible solutions in order for them to achieve their goals.
During her current internship, Stephanie has demonstrated a unique balance of professionalism and
compassion that is necessary in order to be effective with a population that has faced homelessness,
single motherhood, and various other issues ranging from abandonment to abuse. Stephanie has
been impressive with her ability to relate to the mothers while also setting an example and motivating
them to aspire to be and do more than what they are currently experiencing. Stephanie is easy to
supervise because she not only takes direction and constructive criticism well, but she also brings new
ideas to the table and always demonstrates an eagerness to implement them as well as learn more.
Stephanies empathy and understanding are equally matched by her professionalism. Those, along
with her communication skills and her ever-growing knowledge base, make it easy to supervise her
and to give her my most favorable recommendation. If you have any questions or concerns, please
feel free to contact me. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Erinn M. Johnson
