Chief Executive Officer

Provides overall guidance and leadership to the organization. The CEO represents the organization in its
relationship to the Marshall School of Business and other entities. The CEO may, at times, delegate such
representation as he or she sees fit. He or she has ultimate responsibility for the performance of the
organization.

Chief Operating Officer


Has the day-to-day responsibility for leading and overseeing all Vice Presidents and for improving the
operational efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

VP Finance
Responsible for all aspects of the HCBC’s finances including but not limited to membership dues
collection, maintenance of HCBC accounts, funding, distribution of funds, financial reporting,
and account investment.

VP Communication
Responsible for the timing and content of HCBC communication with members, nonmembers,
and the university and health care industry communities. This person will also be responsible for
updating and maintaining the HCBC website and all other Internet related activities such as the
club’s Facebook page and email blasts.

VP Events
Responsible for the planning and execution of all HCBC events including, but not limited to, speaker
outreach and operational details.

VP Marketing
Responsible for creating promotional materials, strategy, recruitment, development, and
corporate sponsorships.

VP Career Development
Responsible for club members in their pursuit of summer internships and job opportunities in the
health care field. These responsibilities will include setting up relevant panels, resume prep
workshops, interview guides, and other activities that will enhance the members pursuit of these
jobs and internships.

VP Membership
Responsible for all activities related to adding and retaining HCBC members including, but not
limited to, classroom outreach.
