The rigorous program and strict grading system of IBDP may serve as possible
reasons why your son may not receive his usual academic awards despite his sense
of responsibility, vigilance and discipline.
The academic demands of the IBDP are greater than the requirements of the regular
academic track. Given this, his daily routine that may involve longer time for
schoolwork, a later bedtime and a busier weekend.
Despite the heavy academic load, IB still requires extra-curricular activities to ensure
the holistic development of students. He will need your support and guidance for
additional extra-curricular (sports, clubs, service-related, etc.) activities on top of his
regular schoolwork.
