What do you get for pretending the danger's not real.

Meek and obedient you follow the leader

Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel.
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes.
Now things are really what they seem.
No, this is no bad dream. – Pink Floyd

You can’t keep going on pretending the danger isn’t real. There’s no sense or use in
that. Meeting something that is ‘dangerous’ head on is the noble, courageous,
honorable, wholesome thing to do. It’s freaking hard- harder than one can imagine.
Pretend you’re walking down that well trodden corridor into the valley of steel. Now
envision yourself marching up to the person you are dreading to see and telling
them what is going to happen. Nobody else decides your future or fate. That is
something you decide completely on your own. You decide if you are going to put
that awesome responsibility into the hands of others on your own. You can always
change your life. Nothing is permanent at all. Isn’t that something to ponder?
Permanence is false. Everything is ever changing, the question is the rate of
change it undergoes. A mountain is never t he same as the moment before, just
a sunset is beautifully tragic ending in moments…..

No one makes you close your eyes, walk away, turn your back or make your life.

Meekly and obediently we all follow the leader. Why is it so hard to venture into the
undergrowth of the forest alone, carving and fighting for your own path? Essentially
then you can be you, doing what you want and what is beautiful in your eyes.
Everyone in this world is taught what to do/eat/say/think/be….Maybe it’s time to
be on your own and find out what you are truly seeking. Everyone can do this. It
doesn’t take strength or encouragement or uniqueness. All it takes is commitment.
Commitment to yourself to never abandoning your causes, always seeing ahead of
that tunnel.
