She is hard-working, thoughtful, and above all, a determined and dedicated student As part of her Senior Project at Santa Susana High School, Jessica set out to develop ‘educational materials for one of her social science classes. She wisely selected an expert in the field as her mentor for the project. Unfortunately, her mentor faced challenges that precluded her from supporting Ms. Huang the way I am sure she would have liked, but this did not deter Ms. Huang. She sought out other resources and remained committed to her goal and project. ‘She has the intelligence to develop thoughtful solutions to issues she and her peers face, and the confidence to articulate them to those who can help solve her issues.
