Pointers

Not sure if the people using the biogas digester will have electric equipments
such as heaters or an electricity connection to use it to generate electricity.
Even we are going to use plastic containers in CDS. They are not that cheap.
Silicon sealer will be expensive. The plastic garbage bin will be an added cost
Decomposition is slow, again raising questions about efficiency
establish a supply chain in market. Easy to say but how!

Major concerns

Cost of whole system

Efficiency per system per day

Positives

Free energy out of literally crap!

Renewable energy source
Usable and sellable

Questions for Wednesday

How is the produce from the digester going to be used directly in a stove
for cooking gas
Is a 200ml barrel ie. the size of a pet bottle going to be sufficient for even one
family
How much biogas and hence energy can be produced from one such barrel
Is one digester going to be used by one family or a number of families at the
same time
What will be the cost of the plastic garbage bin

Business Model
The main focus should be on energy for cooking and not for electricity. People can
live without electricity but not food.
Setting up agents in villages. They will get a profit for every digester sold in that
village.
So each person in participant community will be in contact with an agent in each
target village.
So if there are 10 people in participant community involved in marketing and there
are 5 agents under each of these persons. So even if each agent sells just 2
digesters in a village it would amount to 10x5x2= 100 digesters sold!

As a result two levels of entrepreneurs are created:

1. In participant community involved in assembling and engaging with agents

2. In target villages selling to people of own village and hence having more
impact, trust is easy on people of own village
