This focus on building positive relationships starts witn the class environment where | establish a productive space thats incusive and supports student participation, | also consider Co-curricular activities to be a val aspect of developing well rounded members cof society, The major benefits of an effective Co-Curricular program include “strengthened Self Confidence Developed Specialised Skil ‘Improved Academic Performance and Exposure to New Activities ‘Asa result of this philosophy | have been extensively involved in Co-Curricular activities for my entire career, having coached a variety of team based sports, run workshops centred upon the Visual Arts and co-ordinated and run international, art foucssed excursions +1 years of living and teaching overseas has had an extraordinary impact on me both personally and professionally. Central to this isan awareness of how crucial i is for us to become global citizens, My travels have not only given me the skis to become multi-ingual, bu ey have also very real sense of empathy for those who are less fortunate, and a broader perspective of the world in general that is difficult to have without fst hand experiences, ‘The above experiences and philosophies have evolved over time because | have a curious mina IMy love of learning and constant engagementin professional and personal development stems from my desire for my students, colle2gues, family and friends ta also benefit from these experiences.
