Office of the Project Director Project Implementation Unit, PAKISTAN PRE-SELECTION OF SALES, SUPPLY & SERVICE COMPANIES (SSSCs) FOR PROMOTION AND INSTALLATION OF HIGH EFFICIENCY IRRIGATION SYSTEMS (DRIP) UNDER SINDH IRRIGATED AGRICULTURE PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (SIAPEP} 1. The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a credit from the Intemational Development Association (IDA) in various currencies towards the cost of Sindh Irigated Agriculture Productivity Enhancement Project (SIAPEP) to be implemented in the Province of Sindh for a period of six years (2015-16 to 2020-21) and intends to apply part of its proceeds for procurement of High Efficiency Irrigation System (Crip) 2, The proposed project interventions include: improvement of watercourses, improved field irrigation practices, introduction and promotion of High Efficiency Irrigation System (HEIS), promotion of taser tand leveling, introduction of deep plowing, provision of emergency community flood shelters, and assistance in improving agronomic practices through Integrated Pest Management (IPM), cop diversification, and other measures. 3. About 2,600 HEIS; drippers and buoblers etc, will be implemented on about 14,300 Ha (35,000 Acres) of irrigated and irrigable land. HEIS farms size will be of 05 acres, 10 acres and 28 acres. 4. Project Director ~ PIU, Sindh Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Enhancement Project now invites eligible firms / consortium / joint venture with specific and proven competence and experience in Installation of high efficiency irrigation systems on turnkey basis and provision of post-instaltation services under projects of similar nature to indicate their interest. Eligible firm(s} / joint venture(s) should submit their Expression of Interest in English language along with relevant complete details to enable PD - PIU to prepare a list of eligible firm(s) / joint venture(s) for participation in subsequent proceedings of the project as Sales, Supply and Services Companies (SSSC). 5, The firm(s) with appropriate in-house expertise may form joint venture with local or intemational firms or choose foreign principal to supply the requisite expertise in terms of manpower and HEIS equipment. Employing transparent and efficient criteria, it is proposed to pre-select Sales, Supply and Services Companies (SSSC) that have the capacity to deliver the full package of survey, design, delivery of material, installation and post instaliation O&M services relating to HEIS. 6.
