Dear Editor,
In my opinion, drones are vastly misused. Drones are utilized to spy on, stalk, steal
from, and even kill people. Drones must benefit society, like surveying and inspecting
things like power lines. Drones should never be harmful to anyone under any
circumstances.
The military, for example, is applying drones to oppress the people of the Middle East.
By using drones, many of those negatively aected by drones join the enemies of the
U.S. The U.S. government and military are utilizing this terror to maintain a constant
war in the Middle East. This use of drones is downright immoral, counterproductive,
and illogical. Drones must not be employed as a disconnected way of raining terror
upon those in the Middle East
Civilian use of drones has been in a state of flux as more and more people are able to
obtain drones. Most people use their drones with innocent intent. They use drones for
cinematic videos and just to view the world from a dierent angle. But some people are
using drones for immoral use like stalking and stealing credit card numbers. This is a
real problem due to the fact that law enforcement and laws themselves have not caught
up to the advancements in drone technology. People are taking advantage of this gap to
abuse drones and their power.
In my opinion, drones have great potential benefits, but are being misused greatly. In
this time of technological advancement, I leave you with this quote: With great power
comes great responsibility.
