Hip Hop is defined as a the
popular subculture of big-city teenagers,
which includes rap music break dancing, and graffiti art.
Clive Campbell was credited for originating hip hop music,
when he used to DJ between sets for his fathers band.
This new form of music became popular
in New York and soon spread nationwide.

Kool Herc was born in Jamaica
He emigrated to The Bronx in 1967
as a young child
Began spinning records as a young
teenager and became known as the
"Father of Hip Hop"
