Statistics
I . We learn truths about the world through data.
II. Variation in data is omnipresent, unavoidable, and even natural.
III. If the variable is random it can be minimized with sample size, modeled
with distributions, and measured with probability and margins of error.
IV. Therefore, good scientific studies intentionally impose randomness,
through the random selection of the people or things,, and randomized
assignment of the experimental treatment.
