Myself as a Learner

By: Stephen Morgan

VARK Scores
My VARK scores represented myself as a person, with
the results showing that I am a Multimodal learner.

For information to sink in, I need to have visual aids,

a good teacher, to write down notes, while also
reading the text book.

My VARK score resulted in

Visual-10
Aural-11
Read/write- 10
Kinesthetic- 7

Multimodal
Students that exhibit multimodal habits most
often have the best success by exploring as
many multimedia learning tools as possibly.

By using electronics, and web-sites to satisfy a

need for visual aids, and possibly even online
tutoring, a multimodal student can be fully
engaged.

Online Learning
By taking the Online distant learning quiz I learned
that an online quiz would not be impossible, but
may also be something I am not ready for.

Things I can do to improve my online learning..

Stay focused
Do not procrastinate
Set goals
One suggestion to improve my online distant learning
abilities would be to set a time and place alone,
dedicated to the course and homework assigned to
stay focused and on task.

My Education
K-12
Up until CCBC I have attended private institutions,
based under a Catholic Education.
The main focus of my schooling was reading and
writing.
All of my schooling has fully prepared me for college at
the university level.

Learning for myself today is based fully on myself

I often lack the motivation required for school, and
need to remind myself daily that life is not a sprint
but a marathon.

Future Learning
Preferences
VARK has displayed that my learning is all over
the place.
Tools to help myself in the future would be
To set goals
Plan for the future, and work toward it step by step
Use all the tools available
Use peer help
Look for study groups
