C. Lubrication system

1.Self-contained force-feed type
system supplies oil under pressure
to bearings ,gears and rotating
surfaces .The lubrication system
shall include oil cooler (using
condenser water temperature at
design),oilheater,20-micron oil
filter, and positive displacement
pump. Oil filter isolated with valves
so that the filter can be changed
without having to transfer
refrigerant charge or drain oil.
Provide oil pressure regulator and
oil differential pressure switch.
The lubrication system shall
provide positive supply of oil to
bearings when:
a. Chiller is energized and
operating at all speeds.
b. Power failure or emergency shut
down .
c. Normal start-up.
d. Normal compressor coast down
after the compressor has been
shut down.

3.2 Shipping

2. R134a chillers have a higher
relief valve setting and therefore
must maintain a minimum of 5
psig pressure at all times. Provide

a pressure gauge and valve that

will indicate clearly the status of
the factory nitrogen charge during
transit.

L. Severe penalties will be imposed
for failing to prevent intrusion of
corrosion or foreign matter within
the components and connections.
During any phase of shipment,
should there be any evidence of
damage or loss of nitrogen charge.
SLGC shall be notified to make
recommendations as to the
remedy of the reported problem.
Should SLGC determine that the
damage is severe and not
repairable at the point of
discovery, the unit shall be
returned to the manufacture's
plant for replacement or repairs as
required at no cost to the owner.
