Morning Meeting Schedule

Week 1 & 2
Wed. Oct. 28th

Greeting: Ball Toss the leader will toss it to another student and
everyone will say Good Morning ____. The student with the ball
responds, Good Morning, friends! And tosses the ball to someone else.
Process continues until everyone has been greeted. Once a student
has been greeted, they should leave hands down/behind back.
Sharing: If you could travel to any place in the world, where would it

Greeting: Snowball Greeting Each student will come to the circle
with his or her name written on a piece of paper. Tell students to
throw the snowball in the middle of the circle. Then have each
student grab one snowball, open it up, and go up and greet the
student whose name is on their piece of paper by saying Good morning
_____.

Fri. Oct. 30th

Sharing: What is something you would like to learn how to do? Why?
Greeting: Inner Outer Circle instruct some students to make a small
circle. Tell others to make a circle around the circle that was just
made. There should be an inner circle and an outer circle. Tell the
inner circle, they are to turn, and face a person in outer circle that is
in front of them. Tell the inner circle to greet person in outer circle.
Then tell outer circle to turn the opposite way, and have them greet
the person they face in the inner circle.
Sharing: While in inner/ outer circles, share what your plans are for
Halloween weekend. If you have no plans, share what you would like to

Greeting: Index Card Greeting (Whos Next?) place name cards in
center of circle. Turn top card over. The student whose name is on
the top begins the greeting. They must greet the students whose
name is next. That student greets the student whose name is next..
This continues until the last student greets the first student.

Thurs. - Nov. 5th

Sharing: Tell us something that makes you happy. Why?


Greeting: Backwards Greeting students will need cards with their
names written backwards on them. The leader greets the person next
to them, saying their name backwards. The greeting continues this
way until the last person greets the leader.

Sharing: If you could have ANY animal as a pet, which animal would
you choose? Why?
Greeting: Say good morning when doing sharing activity the first

person turns to person beside him/her and says Good morning ___,
Whats the news? The other student responds Good Morning ___ and
tells them something important from their life, or responds with no
news today.
Sharing: Say Good morning and ask, Whats the News?
Week 4
Mon. Nov. 16th

Greeting: Say Good Morning to others during sharing activity


Sharing: Find Someone who Activity Sheet will be provided.
Students will walk around to others and find people who can do
certain things, know certain concepts, or agrees with certain things
on the sheet. Students will sign what they agree to do. Students try
to fill up their sheet until time is up. (This will allow students to
interact with one another, review concepts, and learn new things

Greeting: High Five Greeting Each student will greet the student
next to them with Good Morning, ___ and a high five. This
continues until everyone has been high fived. Then they will choose

Greeting: Category Greeting (Pets) Teacher calls out a category
(people with 2 dogs, people with a cat, etc.). All students who fit the
category move into the circle and greet each other in a designated
way. When every student has greeted another they go back to their
spot in circle. Teacher calls out a different category. Process is
repeated.

Sharing: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Why?
Greeting: One Minute Greeting The teacher will set a timer for one
minute. Class decides on greeting. Students must greet as many
people as they can in one minute, by standing still, using eye contact,

and using names.


Sharing: What is your favorite subject in school? Why?
Week 6
Mon. Nov. 30th

Greeting: Action Alliteration Give students time to think of an


action word that begins with the same letter (or sound) as their first
name. Provide example of yours, for example, Hey guys, Im Kick
Kelsey, while I do the action (kick). Then the class will respond, Hey
Kick Kelsey!

Tues. Dec. 1st

Sharing: What is your favorite type of food? Why?


Greeting: Silent Greeting students greet on another without
speaking. At teacher signal, they begin and end.
Sharing: If you could travel back in time, where and when would you

Greeting: Other Language Greeting Greek (Kalimera) pinky shake
Sharing: Ask Would You Rather Questions. Ask question, and have
students raise their hand for which choice they would rather do.

Greeting: Category Greeting (Students Wearing Certain Colors Blue, Green, etc.) See above category greeting description.
Sharing: If you were famous, what would you want to be famous for?

Fri. Dec. 4

Why?
Greeting: Formal Greeting Students greet person next to them in a
formal greeting by saying, Good morning Mr./Miss ____.
Sharing: What is something you dislike eating? Why?

Week 8
Mon. Dec. 14th

Greeting: Memorizing Name Game Tell each student to think of an


adjective that describes themselves, but the adjective has to start
with the same letter as their first name. Example Kind Kelsey. Tell
students this is a memorizing name game. Tell them I will start first
by saying, Kind Kelsey. The student beside me will say their
adjective and name; however, in addition they have to say my name
first, then their name. This process continues, and students will have
to memorize the adjectives and names that were said in the circle
before them. Note: students cannot use the same adjective that has
already been used.

Tues. Dec. 15th

Sharing: What is your favorite season? Why?


Greeting: Other Language Greeting Japanese (Konichiwa)

Wed. Dec. 16

Sharing: What is your favorite sport? Why?


Greeting: Speed Ball Students sit in a circle. Call out a students
name and quickly call out another name and toss it to that student.
Once a student has had the ball, they will put their hands behind
them. Review safety expectations before playing.

Thurs. Dec. 17

Sharing: What are your plans over Winter Break?


Greeting: Choice Greeting Greet the person that is wearing a same
color as you, with a greeting of your choice. Greet at least 2 people
with the same color clothes as you, and then go back to your original
spot.
Sharing: Share one holiday tradition you and your family do together.
