To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Shawn Hoover and I am the Chief Conflict Defender in the Cordele Judicial Circuit, the
Area Vice President on the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Board of Directors
and the American Bar Association Liaison to the Special Committee on Death Penalty
Representation. I am writing this letter to enthusiastically recommend Brady Koch for your
organization. I have had the pleasure of knowing Brady for over ten years and I can honestly say his
ability as an educator and communicator have been nothing short of admirable. I have had the pleasure
of studying with and working with Brady and he has always demonstrated exemplary character, utmost
trusthworthiness and a genuine enthusiasm for the work of education and communication. Brady has
both the passion and the zeal for this line of work. He is smart and dedicated, and, most importantly, his
heart truly belongs to this work.
Demonstrating extraordinary independence from a very young age. Brady worked hard to support
himself through college and graduate school, while at the same time achieving success in his educational
and professional life. Such determination is the mark of a leader. I first met Brady as a member of the
nationally ranked Webster University Phi Kappa Delta Speech and Debate Team, where he quickly
progressed to one of the top ranked speakers in the country. Even with his already overwhelming school
and work schedule, Brady still found time to volunteer with public elementary and middle schools
throughout the city.
Since graduation, Brady has continued to strive further and succeed in the areas of education and
communication. Not only has Brady volunteered with film students all over the country, he has also
worked with ESPN and a number of production companies. In a relatively short period of time he has
had the opportunity to gain experience in behind the scenes work, voice overs and even production.
Moreover, Brady has also worked with news companies in his home town, where his abilities allowed
him to quickly progress yet again. Furthermore, Brady has also dedicated his time to teaching children in
other countries. I truly believe Brady has chosen this path because this is an extension of his life goal:
putting his intelligence, commitment and energy into helping those that need it the most. As a zealous
proponent of not only exchanging information, news, ideas and feelings but also creating and sharing
meaning, Brady is ensuring that he is a voice for the voiceless.
Brady goes above and beyond the call of duty in everything that he does. He is confident and committed
to excellence in all aspects of his life. His experiences have provided him with a rich, diverse viewpoint
that I feel will add to any group or organization. Because of which, I am positive he would be an asset to
your organization.
