Haluky typical Slovakia food

I would tell you about typical Slovakia food Haluky. Slovakia is a country in
Central Europe with many traditional foods and haluky is one of them (others are
Pirohy, Chustaky, podliznk, harua, podplamenky or sausages).
There are many recipes around regions and everyone had own inherit recipe.
However there are two basic variations Bryndzov haluky and Strapaky.
Preparation - The dumplings can be made from dough spread in a thin layer on
a wooden cutting board, then cut and scraped off in small pieces which are
dropped into boiling water.
Bryndzov haluky (potato dumplings with bryndza sheep cheese and bacon)
are popular in Moravia (eastern part of the Czech Republic) too.
Strapaky is similar like Bryndzov haluky. However, instead of bryndza there
is used stewed sauerkraut.
Traditionally drunk with haluky is inina (drink made of sheep milk whey similar to kefir)

I never try haluky in Slovakia, so maybe the original haluky taste different. I
taste haluky in school canteen and I really like it.
