SELECTED INVOCATIONS

In the Name of Allah,

the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise is to Allah, Who hears the supplications
and answers them; and blessing and peace be
upon the best of mankind, our Prophet
Muhammad ~, his family, Companions and
followers till the Day of Judgement.
The following are some selected supplications
(Du'aa) that are collected to be used by Imam of
mosque and others during Sujood, Witr and
upon finishing recitation of the whole Noble
Qur'an whether in Ramadan or in other months.
May Allah make these supplications beneficial
to everyone who utters them, He is the One who
hears and responds to supplications.

nastaghfiruka wa natCIbu ilaika wa nu'minu bika
wa natawakkalu 'alaika wa nuthni 'alaikal khaira
kullahu, wa nashkuruka wa la nakfuruka. Wa
nakhla 'u wa natruku man yafjuruka. Allahumma
iiyyaka na'budu. Wa laka nusalli wa nasjudu, wa
ilaika nas'a wa nahfidu, narju rahmataka wa
nakhsha
'adhabaka,
inna 'adhabakaljidda
bilkuffari mulhaqun.

Allah! We ask Your help and guidance, we ask Your

forgiveness, we turn to You in repentance we believe
and trust in You, You are the source of everything
good for us, hence we are thankful and grateful to
You and leave those who commit sins and indulge in
disbelief. 0 Allah! We worship only You, and for You
alone we pray and prostrate; we strive to please You,
expect Your mercy and fear Your punishment, indeed
Your severe
punishment
will befall
on the
blasphemers.

Allah! Guide us with those you have guided;

calamity concerning our religion and make us not

take this world as our greatest concern or a goal for
our knowledge. Do not punish us for our sins through
someone who fears You not and will have not pity on
us.

iqsim lana min khashyatika
ma
tahCllu bihi bainana wa baina ma'asika, wa min
ta'atika ma tuballaghuna
bihi jannataka,
wa
minal-yaqini
ma tuhawwanu
bihi 'alaina
masa'ibad-dunya,
wa matta 'na, Allahumma bi
asma 'ina, wa absarina, wa quwwatina, abadan
ma ahyaitana, waj 'alhul waaritha minna, waj 'al
tha'rana 'ala man zalamana, wansurna 'ala man
'adana wa la taj al musibatana fi dinina wa la taj
'alid dunya akbara hammana wa la mablagha
'ilmina, wa la tusallit 'alaina bidhunubina man la
yakhafu ka wa la yarhammuna.

Allahumma ihna nas 'aluka ridaka waljannata, wa

na 'udhu bika min sakhatika wan-nar.

Allah! We ask You to be pleased with us, reward us

with the Paradise and we seek Your refuge from Your
anger and the punishment of the Fire.

Allah! Give us a share of Your fear to prevent us

from disobeying You, of obedience to guide us for the
way to Your Paradise and of conviction to relieve us
of the burdens of life. 0 Allah! Let us enjoy our
hearing, sight and powers throughout our life span
and make it a heritage afterwards.

qarraba ilaiha min qawfin wa 'amal. Wa na'udhu

o Allah!

We call You to get us into Paradise and

make us closer to it by any act or saying and protect
us from Fire and from any act or saying that makes us
closer to it.

o Allah! We ask You for everything that is good, in

this world and the Hereafter, whether we know it or
not; and seek Your protection from everything that is
bad, in this world and the Hereafter, whetherwe know
it or not.

or a handicapped without relief, a dead without mercy
or a debt unsettled, We ask You to guide those who

aslih lana dinana alladhi huwa
ismatu amrina, wa aslih lana dunyana allati fiha
ma 'ash una, wa aslih lana akhiratana allati fiha
ma 'aduna, waj 'alii hayata ziyadatan lana fi kulli
khair, wal mawta rahatan lana min kulli sharr.

o Allah! Set right our religion that guards our souls

from sins, make this world where we live better for us
and make the Hereafter to where we return better for

'ilmin la yanfa 'u wa qalbin la yakhsha 'u, wa

nafsin la tashba 'u, wa du 'a 'in la yusma 'u.

Allah! Give us piety and purify our souls. You are

the Master and the Lord of souls. 0 Allah we seek
Your guard from vain knowledge, lack of Your fearing
and from having an unsatisfiable soul and an
unanswered supplication.

aghnina bifadlika 'amman siwaka.

from the worst of deeds ... no one can avert these
from us except You.

actions and avoid objectionable actions and avoid
objectionable deeds. We ask Your forgiveness and

mas'alatal miskin, wa nabtahilu ilaika ibtihalal
khadi 'idh dhalili wa nad 'uka du 'a' al kha' ifiddariri, du 'a'a man khada'at laka raqabatuhu, wa
dhallat laka nafsuhu, wa fadat laka 'ainahu.
By Your Greatness and our humility, endow Your
mercy on us. We humbly lay our sinful selves at Your
Hands. Many are Your slaves and Only You are our
Master. We humbly entreat You as the poor entreats,
and a yielding humble will ask You and call You in fear
and humiliation, and call You with surrendered necks,
humiliated souls and with our eyes full oftears.

ma/ika lana ghairuka fanarjuhu, man natlubu wa
antalmatlObu, wa man nas' alu wa Anta Sahibul
Karami wal-Jud.

Allah! There is no Lord to call but You and no

master to ask from but You. Who else can we call or
ask from while You are the Most Generous.

Allahumma inna nas' aluka min fad/ikal'azimi, wa

khairi kal 'amimi ya jawwadu ya karimu,
Allahumma a 'tina wala tharimna, wa akrimna wa
la tuhinna, wa zidna wa la tanqusna, wa sitna wa
la taqta 'na, wa athirna wa la tu' thir 'alaina,
wahdina wa yassirithuda lana.
Allahumma ighfir lana fi laitatina hadhihi ajma'in,
wa habit musi' ina minna IiImuhsinin.

We ask You to grant us from Your great favours and

not to deprive us from Your endless bounties.
Allah give us and not to deprive us from Your endless
bounties.
Allah give us and not forbid us. Give us
more and do not decrease it. Keep us related to You
and not cut off. Lead us to the right path and make it
easy for us.

Allah! Forgive us all in this night, and let Your

mercy cover the sinful for the sake of the pious.

Allah!
Purify our souls from hypocrisy, our
tongues from lying and our eyes from treachery. You
know the treacherous eyes and what is buried in the

and were given, who relied on You and were sufficed,
and those who repented and got their repentance

and joy so they rest in peace till they raise up secured

under earth ... lonely and helpless as no more deeds

Have Mercy on them and forgive their sins,

make them right and cast Your pardon upon them, let
them rest in peace, make their access wide enough
and wash them with rain water, snow and ice; clean
them from sins as a white dress is cleaned from dirt.
