    18-2 Legislation That Affects Nutrition Education Programs

    Child Nutrition Reauthorization


    Child Nutrition Reauthorization includes legislation that covers the
    primary government food programs outside of the Food Stamp
    Program and related education components. Programs include the
    following:
    - National school lunch program (NSLP)
    - School breakfast program (SBP)
    - Child and adult care food program (CACFP)
    - Summer food service program (SFSP)
    - Special milk program (SMP)
    - Women, infants, and children (WIC), which includes the WIC Farmers Market
    Nutrition Program (FMNP)
    - Fruit and vegetable snack program
    - Team nutrition program and language for the team nutrition network
    - School wellness policy legislation
    - Language for access to local foods and school gardens
