eesCan beauty be defined by a mathematical formula? | believe that since beauty consists of
both physical appearance and personality, beauty can't always be defined by a mathematical
formula. Although since physical appearance is part of someone's beauty, this can often be
found using the golden ratio.
People find that the more symmetrical someone's face i, the more attractive they are
considered to be by others. You can easily identify whether someone is "beautiful" by just
looking at them. For example- the ideal face is told to be two thirds as wide as its tall. Your
nose should be no longer than the distance between your eyes. Although there are several
reasons for why this theory doesn't work. For example- the golden ratio only works for Eyropean
faces. Also the golden ratio can't tell whether someone's personality is "beautiful" or not.
‘Although the golden ratio may identify beauty by whether someone's face is symmetrical or
not, | dont think it can truley identify beauty. | believe that since beauty consists of both physical
appearance and personality, beauty can't always be defined by a mathematical formula. | think
that in order for someone to be beautiful they most be beautiful both inside and out!
