Making the Ink

The ink for the pen is made from various pigments, dyes, and other
chemicals. It is then mixed together to create the ink, this is done by
computers.

Metal Ball and spring

The metal ball for the pen is made out of steel, but it can be made
out of brass, and tungsten carbide. Most of the time the metal ball
and spring are made from a different manufacturer and brought in.

Plastics
The plastic parts of the pen are made using injection molds. The
plastic is poured into a mold and then cooled. This make the ink
cartridge, pen body, and cap.

Assembly
First the ink is poured into the ink cartridge, then the cartridge is put
inside the pen body. Next the spring is attached to the cartridge, then
the tip of the pen with the steel ball is attached to the cartridge.
Lastly the pen cap is put on.
