Scope
The Centralized Inventory Management System accessed through a web browser. The
Inventory Management covers all system and data network elements from the mainframe through the
server level to the PC or end component throughout the activity.
All mainframe and data web based must be identified and entered into the Inventory System.
Any changes to these environments must be reflected in the Inventory System.
The Standards and Procedures Manual section relating to Inventory Management must be
created. This section must describe the process by which server are identified, entered into the
Inventory Management System. All information needed by personnel to perform Inventory
Management functions must be clearly described.
Server responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining must have access to the
Inventory Management System to identify in flow and out flow information needed by them to
perform their functional responsibilities.
The login screen prompts users for their username and password. Checking in Stock and out
Stock items and maintaining the inventory are the most common activities. For these activities, large
links are provided in the main content area.
There are several common scenarios for checking out an item. A number of different
functions are provided to facilitate each scenario. However the checkout process is executed, the
process requires that the desired items be added to the checkout cart.
During the checkout process that sometimes provides only the title of the item they wish to
check out. The user can search for the item. Users can search for items and view matching results.
Overdue notices can be sent to User.
The administration section provides functions that are not directly related to day-to-day
operation. It provides information on the current status of the inventory and historical usage data.
Users can find out how many in stock and out stock are overdue.
