Charitable Action
Overview:
For your final culminating project, you are required to complete five different activities
from the various topics. All of the activities demonstrates different acquired learning
from throughout this course. This activity falls under the topic of Profession of Faith.
Specific Expectations:
PFV: Describe what it means to believe and live in Christ, and name some of the joys
and demands involved
PFV: Realize Gods desire to be known and loved through Jesus Christ in the Holy sprit
PFV: Consider how religious faith is shaped by human experience
Task:
Perform a charitable action to someone within your community. Once done performing
the action, write a reflection on performing this charitable action. Questions to answer in
your reflection are:
1. What was your charitable action?
2. How did it help the individual?
3. Why did you chose to help this individual?
4. How did it make you feel?
5. How did it make the other person feel?
6. What other charitable actions can you do? Is there more you can do for
this person?
7. How does your charitable action reflect the acts of God?
8. Make a connection to Jesus (for example, through his goodness,
scriptural story, beatitude, etc.)
Some ideas of a charitable action that you can perform are:
- Shoveling an elderly neighbors driveway - Bake for a neighbour or family friend
- Visit someone that doesnt often have
- Babysit for someone you know could use
guests
some time on their own
- Raking leaves for a neighbour
- Walking a neighbours dog
- Walk and talk with someone lonely
- Mowing an neighbours lawn
**Run your charitable action past the teacher for approval BEFORE performing your
action!

Select a recipient of your charitable action
Perform your charitable action
Write a reflection 2 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font, times new roman
