German troops hold on to the Volga River in
order to take the city of Stalingrad.
Having failed while they tried to cross the river
to launch a counterattack, Soviet troops were
forced to retreat. However, a few Soviet soldiers
managed to arrive the shore side of the enemy
and remained hidden in a house on the coast
where they met a beautiful girl. In the midst of
the bloodiest battle was born love. This group of
soldiers try to protect the girl defending the
building where she stays. All of them try to
protect the heart of their homeland because in
war there is love and in love there is hope.
By director Fedor Bondarchuk, the fight scenes
and the special effects of the move are very
