Paralel Multiple Accents

The idea on this exercise is to play different accent patterns on both hands (or feet)
simultaneously.
When thinking on play them with the hands, formal or informal movements could be
used.
Choose two eight note long hands combination (pages 5-7 of Stick Control could
be used for this).
Combinations 1 and 5 of page 5 of Stick Control will be used for this example
(R L R L R L R L / R L R R L R L L)
Make accent patterns following the next idea: R = Accented ; L = Not Accented
With that in mind, play with RIGHT HAND ONLY pattern number 1:
R r R r R r R r R r
Now, play with LEFT HAND ONLY pattern number 2:
L l L L l L l l
Finally, play both hands simultaneously. Be careful with playing flamed
strokes. Every stroke should sound as one, perfectly in time with the opposite
hand.
R r R r R r R r
L l L L l L l l
An example of 16 notes long could be this:
R r R r R R r R R r R R r R r R
L l l L l l L l l l L l L l l l
Right hands accents are playing the cascara pattern, while Left hand accents
are playing 3:2 son clave
