Week 15 Vocabulary:

1. Buttress-a support usually of stone or brick; supports

the wall of a building.
2. Forestall-act in advance of; deal with ahead of time.
3. Itinerary-A travel plan stating where you will go and
when you will be there.
4. Caustic-any chemical substance that is capable of
burning or destroying living tissue.
5. Rescind-To reverse or cancel officially.
1. Buttress- The buttress supported the church during
the storm.
2. Forestall-A lock was added to forestall anyone from
breaking in.
3. Itinerary- Going to the mall was part of the itinerary
to Mexico.
4. Caustic-The acid felt caustic against my skin.
5. Rescind- I will rescind my promise to loan my friend
money.
