Aprons ‘An apron is defined as an airside area of an airport planned to accommodate aircraft for function of loading or unloading passengers, cargo or mail, fuelling, parking or maintenance. Aprons can be classified according to their main purpose and function. Apron varies from airport to airport, due to the size of aircraft and volume of aircraft traffic at the airport. Aprons are interrelated with che terminal complex in order to achieve optimum solution.
