Bonnie is an outstanding biology teacher. She implements appropriate and varied teaching methods, materials and resources aligned with goals of each lesson taught. She designs lesson plans that are engaging for students. She uses evaluation strategies that align with goals of all lessons taught. She conveys accurate information as well as engages students in methods of inquiry. Bonnie excels in using multimedia strategies to engage students in learning science concepts. Differentiation is evident in her approach to creating and presenting lessons. Bonnie provides effective large group, small group and one to one instruction. She provides feedback to the students and adjusts learning where necessary. The objectives of each lesson are communicated well in order to effectively guide student learning. Strong organizational skills are evident in all areas of Bonnie’s teaching. She uses a variety of classroom management strategies. She continually updates and organizes files, grades and her ‘own classroom management system. She consistently strives to keep the classroom atmosphere safe, organized and clean. Bonnie demonstrates great leadership potential. She understands that high functioning teams are essential and because of this she works collaboratively with other school professionals as well as Granite School District personnel.
