On any given day there are approximately ten to twelve special education ‘Students in her class, as well as many other regular education students. The diversity of that classroom is great, and Bonnie has risen to meet the challenges presented there. Bonnie is always prepared with a well-planned lesson for the students. She has taken a very difficult subject and has made the curriculum easier to understand ~ especially for the resource students. She has created labs and activities to reinforce the concepts she has taught, helping the students to visualize ‘and remember important biological facts. It is evident that she is very knowledgeable on the subject of biology. Bonnie is well organized and has always been able to enter grades in a timely manner. There is very little turn-around time from when an assignment is due to when it has been graded, entered on the computer and returned to the student. Her grades are always up-to-date. The students always know exactly what their grades are in her class. Bonnie demonstrates excellent classroom management skills. She is diligent in enforcing school rules, put does so in a way that the students still respect and enjoy being in her class. She is well liked by the students, Her classroom is organized, the students are quiet, and she always makes sure that the students know what is expected of them, ‘The special education students in the class present many challenges to a classroom. As@ first year teacher, | believe that Bonnie has done an excellent job in accommodating and meeting their individual needs, She has been patient with their various behaviors (which are many) and has made the information easier for them to understand. She has allowed the assignments and tests to be modified, which allows the special education students an opportunity to be successful in the class and obtain a passing grade. She has been more than willing to attend any IEP meetings with staff and parents. | wholeheartedly recommend Bonnie Roach to your institution. She would be an excellent addition to ‘your school and the students would be better prepared because of her. She is @ wonder.
