The Government of India has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Kamataka State Highway Improvement Project(KSHIP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB. . The Project Director, Project Implementation Unit (PIU), KSHIP (“the Employer” on behalf of Governor of Kamataka) invites sealed bids from cligibleBidders for the construction and ‘completion of above contracts.The Works involve upgrading existing State Highways including realignments to standard 2-lane 7m carriageway and generally wider construction in built-up areas including median separated dual carriageways. The Construction Works include, but are not limited to: searification, pavement reconstruction, earthworks, new culverts, new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridges, protective works, granular sub-base, wet mix macadam base course, bituminous mixsurfacing, side drains, sidewalks, road markings and road furnitures. ‘Traffic management and Environmental Protection measures are also essential and important aspects (“the Works”), ‘The Bidder may Bid for one or more Contracts. The Employer will evaluate and compare Bids on the basis of a contract, or a combination of contracts, of as a total of contracts in order to arrive at the least cost combination for the Employer. If a Bidder submits several successful (lowest evaluated substantially responsive) Bids, the evaluation will also include an assessment of the Bidder's capacity to meet the aggregated requirements of Section 3: Evaluation and Qualification National competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two- Envelope sytem procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible counties as described in the Bidding Document. |.
