Aaron Benson of Arcadia High School was presented the Good Citizen Award from the Eau Claire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Benson is the class president, a member of the National Honor Society, and captain of the football, wrestling, and track teams. GOOD CITIZEN AWARD PRESENTED TO AARON BENSON OF ARCADIA
HIGH SCHOOL EAU CLAIREAaron Benson, son of Norman and Marcia Benson of Arcadia, was presented the Good Citizen Award from the Eau Claire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) at a ceremony on Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire. This award is given to a high school senior who excels academically, participates in extracurricular activities, and is active in the community. Benson is the class of 2016 president, has been a member of National Honor Society for two years, is captain of the football and wrestling team, and participates in track and field as well as baseball. He volunteers his time by coaching youth flag football and helping finish the turf field in Arcadia. He plants to major in kinesiology or exercise science in order to work with professional athletes to motivate and push them to their full potential. Many high schools in the greater Chippewa Valley selected a Good Citizen. These nominees are a group of outstanding students who are highly active in extracurricular activities and community projects. DAR members are proud to recognize these exceptional students.
