A message from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake: The city of Baltimore is committed to Innovation and Information Technology. Therefore, we would be remiss if the City did not take the time to acknowledge great accomplishments in this competitive and fast developing field. I was pleased to discover that the following students from Morgan State University; Benjamin Hall, Khir Henderson, Kevin Proctor and Myles Wright-Walker represented the great City of Baltimore at the 2015 TechConnext Summit and Hackathon Competition hosted by Capital One in Santa Clara, California. I am pleased to learn that these students won first place at this completion, beating out several other universities in the heart of Silicon Valley! On behalf of the City of Baltimore, I applaud these students for their hard-work and dedication to technology pathways, thus setting a positive example for our youth by showing that hard work, dedication and team-work pay off. I would also like to thank the staff of Morgan State University for promoting and supporting our students. Congratulations on your success. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Sincerely,
