The orthopedic clinic deals in different types of services including surgeries, and

other medical facilities. Orthopedic surgeons trained in the preservation,

investigation, and restoration of the firm function of the extremities, spine, and
associated structures by medical, surgical and physical means. He or she involved
with the care of patients whose musculoskeletal problems include congenital
deformities, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances, of the
musculoskeletal system; deformities, injuries and degenerative diseases of spine,
hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbows in children and adults. An orthopedic
surgeon is also concerned with primary and secondary muscular problems and the
effect of central peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system in
Atlanta, Georgia. One other doctor joined his clinic in addition to 12 support
personnel. The medical practice of the clinic of Dr. Christopher specializes in all
orthopedic surgery except it does not perform spinal surgery. The clinic has grown
to the point where both orthopedic surgeons are working long hours and Dr.
Christopher is wondering whether he needs to hire more surgeons. He & one other
surgeon perform surgeries every morning for 5 hours a day, 4 days a week for a
total of20 hours each week. They also like to keep a 10% (2 hour) safety capacity
for any unexpected problems with scheduled surgeries and emergencies. We are
looking to analyze to see that the surgeons have enough time to properly & safely
perform all their procedures during their morning surgery time.
