Romeo & Juliet Research Project

The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet would have taken place in a modern
era for Shakespeares audience. That time and place is very different from
today. Pick one of the following topics and conduct a research inquiry into the
culture of the Elizabethan Era.

Mens Fashion
Womens Fashion
Art, Theatre, and Architecture
Religion
Daily Life


REQUIREMENTS

Groups of 3-4
5-10 minutes in length. You will be cut off at 10 min.
Information should be organized in a logical manner
Must use technology in some way (Powerpoint, Prezi, Video)
Must include visuals, not just blocks of text, and slides must be
designed in a pleasing manner. (See Powerpoint Dos and Donts on
weebly)
o Please only put key words on the slides, not blocks of information
o Make use of visuals. They are your friend. Leave the written
information to your verbal explanation.
Must include 8-10 sources (4 of them must be print)
Must include correctly formatted works cited
Must imbed citations correctly within the presentation
Every group member must speak and contribute in a substantive way
o When speaking, use of notecards or notes is permitted, but
reading directly off the slide is not.
o Practicing your presentation is recommended.
Digital Copy must be made for Ms. Alburger and turned in day of
presentation
