Greening AUs
3rd quarter
Total Hours: 33
Weekly Green Cubs Hours: 1 hour x 2 per week
Faculty communication: 8 hours
Third quarter has been exciting for the green cubs. This quarter
we focused our efforts on awareness for students and faculty. The
green cubs focused on increased communication by creating fliers, and
posters around the school with detailed information about what can be
recycled and what cannot. This quarter, lower elementary leaders
have been the driving force in sustaining the recycling program and
around just about self-sufficient. There is a real communal atmosphere
and pride the students are taking in their important work! New
students continue to ask to join and to participate! However, it is
wonderfully fulfilling to see the same students return week, after week,
because of the altruistic enjoyment they feel as they work together to
protect our earth.

Additionally, students have been focusing on spreading

awareness about reducing, reusing, and recycling by increasing
communication across the school.

For quarter 4, the Green Cubs will continue to focus on our original
goals, as well as begin to incorporate some garden specific tasks like
planting, weeding, watering, maintaining, and enjoying!
