Students presented their independent project on important people from North Carolina Each student had a different person to present. Students seemed to have done a lot of research on their people they loved having their own person to present because it made them feel more connected to the people.

(I was unable to observe an actual social studies lesson, but I observed the students as they presented posters from social studies last semester)
What I noticed:
Students presented their independent project on important people from North
Carolina Each student had a different person They told very personal facts about the people (what they enjoyed, their favorite food, etc) They also told important facts about the people that related to history The classmates who were listening seemed very interested in learning about the important people
Thoughts, Questions, Connections to Methods Classes:
The students seemed to have done a lot of research on their people
They loved having their own person to present because it made them feel more connected to the people I liked how some students could dress up as their person while they presented because it made it more entertaining and more memorable for the class
