Prayer Development
A) Theme: Preaching the Gospels
B) Reading: For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of
everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek. For in it is revealed the righteousness of
God from faith to faith; as it is written, The one who is righteous by faith will live. (Romans
1:16-17, NABRE)
C) Reflection: The Gospels were a part of Gods mission to help spread His word through
generations and generations. It was a historic and religious account of the events that went on
around the time of Jesus. The passage means that St. Paul is not afraid to proclaim the gospel
despite the heavy criticism the Jews and Gentiles would give him for proclaiming the crucified
savior. St. Paul is a big example to follow. We should proclaim the Gospel even if our friends or
others criticize us for it. It is what God calls us to do a children of Him. The Gospels are
accounts the God Himself made from His actions to help us to understand Him and what He is
trying to proclaim to us. He sent Jesus to proclaim to us and free us from our sins and we must
realize that the Gospels should be spread throughout the world so that people can believe in God
and come into eternal life with Him.

D) Prayer: God, make me a person of brave courage and love, help me be a person in Your
image. Help me to evangelize the Gospels to people I see every day, so they may know I
love them. Help me to get over the criticism I may receive from others.
May Your light shine in the hearts of those who need You, and help me to encourage
those people to love You with all their body, mind, and soul and to thank You for their
lives for their lives are sacred just as much as anyone else.
May the people be rejoiced by Your love as they carry out a faithful life of Your Word.
