mom woke me up for school. She had me put on some warm clothes and took me downstairs. The breakfast was ready and hot on the table and after finishing it I left for school on foot just as usual. After school, when I was on my way home I heard angry shouts from my house. Then I realized that it was mom and dad and they were having an argument. It was very hard to understand what they were talking about as they were just yelling at each other without giving each other a chance. All I heard in the whole argument was what my mom said,The difference between once and never is a lot!. I rang the bell and my mom opened the door. The tears 1
of pain and sorrow were rolling down
her red cheeks. She wiped them off quickly when she saw it was me and took me upstairs. All the while, ignoring all my questions about what had happened, she just simply replied that to play video games and that she was fine. My mother usually comforted me at night but that night she did not and did not even come to say goodnight. So I crept downstairs to see what was up. I saw her sitting on the couch just staring outside the window near the fireplace. There were also some papers on the coffe table with her signature on them. But I just thought of them as business papers and left mom alone. The following day when I was coming back, I did not want to believe 2
my eyes. I saw an ambulance just
outside my house and a huge crowd. I ran as fast as I could leaving my bag on the ground with tears in my eyes. I bumped into the crowd and saw that the medics were taking the lifeless body of my mother away. A young looking medic came to me personally and talked me through. He told me that she had faced an heartattack and passed away. But I did not want to hear a single word due to my sorrow. Then I remebered the papers from last night and went back in to see that they were still on the table near the fire place. After loocking at them I realized that they were divorce papers and my mom and dad had signed it.
