ar, therefore I cannot provide you with completely accurate information. Until t
he middle of 2015 I have been working in the Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra in Po
land, where I earned very little. Then I got married in August and moved with my
wife to Switzerland. There I started working as an intern in the Basel Symphony
Orchestra, where I earned three times as much as in Cracow, however it was bare
ly enough for a marriage to survive in Switzerland. Luckily I have won the audit
ion for deputy Solo Viola in the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra, where I currentl
y am on probationary period, which will end before the beginning of the Verbier
Festival. Therefore my financial situation, even though stable for the moment, m
ight still change very rapidly until July.
As a little boy I was part of an 'ensemble' formed by our music teacher in prima
ry school, we would play music in the small office spaces in our Town Halls etc.
for the accountants, secretary's and all the people working there. I was one of
the main attractions, as I was the youngest member of the band, I was very, ver
y far from being a child prodigy though!
