Bucknerism 4 “To be or not tobe?” That isthe question. Every child deserves a great teacher, and! Intend to be onel {willbe a motivator, # mentor, an encourager, 9 positive role model, and ‘most ofall aprofessional. | will push my students to be the very best they can be, and to assist them in reaching thelr goals because all students can learn. Classroom Climate My classroom willbe a bright, warm environment where students wil feel comfortable and secure. | believe that students learn betterin that typeof an environment. My door will always be open fo students to come infor any problems they may have. My cassroom willbe Aesigned ina manner that has a mitre of learning styles. There will be hands on stations, reading Fea, discussion area, and then the lecture area. Good behavior willbe expected in my classroom. | willbe the example when it comes to behavior | would lke to see in my classroom. | will not rule my classroom like a dictator would, but they wll be expected to know the rules ‘and fllow them accordingly. Learning focus and goals Each and every child learns differently, becouse of tis | will teach in several different ways. | willinclude lab experiments, cooperative earning, nands-on, group discussion, and technology based learning. | will include some lecture, but! don't want to stand infront ofthe class all day and speak. | believe that getting the students involved inthe lessons, keeps them Interested in the subject matter. | will assign homework, that wil relate to the lesson and the students will be able to use that asa study sheet for tests. | will integrate different ways of Bucknerism ‘assessing the children on what they have learned. | know I did't ike taking tests and stl! don’t ‘san adult student today. | want to bring out the best of each and every student in my classroom and wil give each one the opportunity to blossom into young productive citizens, Curriculum | have been a member ofthe military for almost 15 years and truly believe that history 'simportant. With that being sei wil be teaching science, andthe history af science is very Important aso. Without the knowledge we have now from science there are several diseases and esses that wouldnt have been cured. Iwill teach my students the importance of the history of science but also emphasize the importance ofthe future of science aswell. | want to share my passion for science with my students and inspire my students to wanto become a scientist to cure cancer. | belive that children learn by doing so! wil give my students several ‘opportunities to get their hands dity and experiment with efferent types of scentifc equipment. {wil als incorporate math into my lessons, because feel that math and scence go hand in hand. | willbe teaching what the county and state require, ut much mare than that. wil incorporate fel trips to diferent museums around town, as well as bring guest speakers Into my classroom to explain how thay use science every day. (My roleas a teacher ‘Asan educator, it s my responsibility to keep order in my classroom. | will do this by allowing my students to assist in setting the rules and punishments that will ccar when the rules are broken. I don’t want to hold anyone back from acceleratngin my clas. | wil ge the students the opportunity to teach other students. | belive that students can learn from each other and they might explain ideas from anather perspective | plan on keeping upto date with all the technology thats available to my students and teach them accordingly. I willuse technology effectively and integrate itinto my classroom. My teaching tye willbe a mix ofteacher-centeredand student-centered activites. {will ecture and require notes tobe taken, but | wil also allow students to choose certain lessons that they would like to learn about as well HISTORICAL RELATIONS ‘There ate several different philosophies that one can ry on for guidance.
